Exercise Benefits

I have been stimulated to write this by a mailshot claiming amazing exercise benefits that I received a few days ago. The crux of the sales pitch said that gyms and regular exercise routines prescribed day in and day out through out the world to help people achieve their goals of losing weight and getting fitter were by and large ineffective.

A bold statement may I add, even if the author of the letter was a gym instructor. Basically the letter wanted around $30 or £20 for the secrets of explaining the exercise benefits and achieving fitness and a great figure in your home in about seven minutes a day.

Well I will certainly not be held to the seven minutes a day and neither will you find me knocking gym routines but stay tuned to find out that what is important to you here if you have fitness goals you have not yet achieved.

Buyer Beware!

As in all spheres of life there exists a whole spectrum from totally ineffective and possibly harmful to fabulously successful and this applies to gym routines as it does to anything else.. The one you happen to be using will hopefully be in the effective part of the spectrum and if it isn't find someone you trust who has walked the walk and get some quality advice. There are two points however I wish to convey:

    * If you are using a gym, CONGRATULATIONS. No matter how effective your routine you are further on down the road towards your goals doing something positive that someone sat on their couch is not. All you may need are a few changes to improve and remember it is much easier to change the direction of something that is moving than of something that is stationery.

    * What about the absolutely irrefutible psychological wellbeing benefits of exercise? Anyone who exercises will know exactly what I mean. Your life will be infinitely better for the way you feel after you have had a good workout no matter if you program requires fine tuning or not.
