Physical Therapy Rehabilitation in Africa

Zambia

This is Zambia. A small land locked country in southern, central Africa.

In 2002 I was fortunate enough to be able to fulfill a dream and do some physical therapy rehabilitation in Africa. I was invited to stay at The Leonard Cheshire Home for Physically Handicapped Children in Lusaka, Zambia.

I barely knew Zambia existed before my trip but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful, meaningful experiences of my life. It has had an enormous impact on me and has resulted in a continuing relationship ever since.

It is said a picture is worth a thousand words and I think this is particularly true in this case. I hope you are able to get a sense of the love and joy on all sides from these photographs.

Every year at Christmas it is my family's pleasure to send some simple gifts to the children. It is just a deserving cause we feel we can contribute to and give a little back to those less fortunate than ourselves.

So join me on my wonderful adventure into Zambia and into the hearts of some truly inspirational people. Enjoy!
